Learn how to maintain the tank, how to check the salt content of the water, the PH balance, how to feed them, what to feed them, what fish go well with other fish, what decorations are ok to put in the tank, the size of the tank you should get and so on. There is so much involved with keeping a saltwater tank that most don't even want to bother. But if you're up for the challenge and you're excited about keeping a saltwater tank in your home, then do your research so that you can do everything right the first time. The last thing you want is to spend a lot of money on all these fish only to have them die because you didn’t know what you were doing.
